Razi Metallurgical Research Center (Founded 1982)
Razi Metallurgical Research Center (RMRC) is a private experimental research, education
and training organization specialized in materials science and engineering. The Center’s research activities,
as well as services, are focused on metals, polymers, ceramics, advanced materials, novel materials, biomaterials,
nanomaterials, Information technology and design and development of engineering software. In addition to its research,
education and training activities, RMRC offers laboratory testing and consultancy services in the fields of physical,
mechanical, extractive and industrial metallurgy, which covers the entire range of engineering materials. Furthermore,
the center is active in carrying out failure analysis, life assessment of industrial parts and investigation of corrosion
mechanisms as well as performance tests of industrial components. These research endeavors are carried out based on the
latest scientific discoveries in the field of material engineering, nano and advanced materials.
RMRC is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 by National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI) to perform
experimental research in fields relevant to metals, polymers, ceramics, novel and advanced materials.
The center is also accredited by General Office of Standard & Industrial Research of Tehran & Hormozgan.
Moreover, RMRC is qualified to conduct studies in 3 branches of foundry, corrosion and material analysis
by both ministries of industry and science. The laboratories in the center are granted with necessary licenses
to act as counterparts of Iranian Food & Drug Administration (IFDA) and Department of Environment (DOE) labs.
The center is also active in design and engineering of industrial parts, delivering library and information center services,
and providing quality guarantees.
