About Razi Metallurgy Research Center
Razi Metallurgy Research Center was established in 1982 to conduct scientific, technical, and economic research, design and engineering, develop specialized software, provide laboratory and research services, education, information dissemination, and foresight in the field of materials science and engineering, in a limited space with the participation of 6 people.
The main fields of activity of this center include materials science and engineering, metallurgy, chemistry, polymers, ceramics, product design, metal and non-metal production processes, modeling and simulation of design and manufacturing processes of engineering materials.
As the first private research institute, this center currently operates in a 4,500 m² space with about 200 specialized personnel in materials, mechanics, chemistry, polymers, nanomaterials, advanced materials, and computer engineering, with the collaboration of prominent academic and industrial consultants from inside and outside the country.
Razi Metallurgy Research Center has extensive research collaborations with a wide range of domestic industries and has 14 active offices in Tehran and other cities.
This center was selected as the first collaborating laboratory by the National Iranian Standards Organization and holds accreditation from this organization. Additionally, in 2003, it obtained ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Certificate from DNV.
In 2007, Razi Metallurgy Research Center received the international laboratory management certificate based on ISO/IEC 17025 from the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran, and in 2008 from DAP and DAKKS institutes in Germany.
In 2004, the center obtained accreditation from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), and since then, it has provided engineering and laboratory services to Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon, UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar.
To develop modern technologies, since 2005, the center has been a member of the Nano Laboratory Network under the supervision of the National Nanotechnology Initiative and has achieved 11 years of first rank, one year of second rank, and one year of third rank in this network.
The center holds a research center activity license from the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and between 2016 and 2022, it was selected several times as a "Top Research Center" by the Ministry of Industry.
Other major achievements include obtaining the titles of "Accredited Laboratory for Samples" and "Second Rank Collaborating Educational Center" by the National Iranian Standards Organization.
