- Creep Testing
To enhance transparency in service delivery and in accordance with the requirements of the quality management system, Razi Metallurgy Research Center allows customers or their designated representatives to be present during testing, wherever technically and safely feasible.
By making prior arrangements, customers can observe the testing process firsthand and gain assurance regarding the implementation of test methods, the use of equipment, and compliance with relevant requirements.
This service is provided while maintaining the principles of impartiality, confidentiality, and technical independence. The customer's presence does not affect the testing process or the validity of the results in any way.
High-Temperature Tensile Testing, Stress Relaxation and Indentation Creep Testing
(Elevated Temperature Tension, Stress Relaxation & Indentation Creep)
Testing Equipment
A tensile testing machine equipped with a three-zone cylindrical furnace, grips, and fixtures for indentation creep testing. The minimum test temperature is 150°C, the maximum test temperature is 982°C, and the maximum tensile load is 2 tons.
Conditions for Hot Tensile and Stress Relaxation Testing
Hot tensile testing is performed in accordance with ASTM E21, and stress relaxation testing is performed in accordance with ASTM E328, using various flat and round specimens (Sub-Size specimens in accordance with ASTM E8). These tests can be performed according to the force application rate requested by the customer. The data provided to the customer include an Excel or Notepad file, along with an image of the graph generated by the extensometer and the testing machine software. All the above tests can be performed with customers present.
Creep and Stress Rupture Testing
Testing Equipment
The creep testing machines use a dead-weight loading mechanism and are equipped with three-zone cylindrical furnaces. They can record specimen rupture time (Stress Rupture) and plot and display creep curves (Load Extension Curve, Stress-Strain Curve). The furnaces feature highly accurate controllers, with temperature fluctuations of 2°C below 600°C, 3°C within the 600–900°C range, and 4°C within the 900–1200°C range. The machines are equipped with extensometers capable of measuring displacement to the nearest thousandth of a millimeter and measuring strain rates down to 10-9 s-1. The available machines have the following specifications:
- Minimum temperature of 100°C, maximum temperature of 1200°C, and maximum tensile load of 2 tons
- Minimum temperature of 100°C, maximum temperature of 982°C, and maximum tensile load of 1 ton
Conditions for Creep and Stress Rupture Testing
Creep and stress rupture testing is performed in accordance with ASTM E139 using various flat and round specimens. The data provided to the customer include an Excel or Notepad file, along with an image of the graph generated by the testing machine software.
